My Little Family, the Baldwins
For work purposes, I use my maiden name, but my married name is Baldwin!
Alec and I got married on March 4, 2022 after dating for almost two years. We met at the end of June during the COVID-19 pandemic and the rest is history. Alec was an active duty Army serviceman when we met, and we made it work despite living an hour from each other in the Washington, D.C. area.
After we got married in a small ceremony with our family, we moved to Las Vegas for his work. I was fortunate to have remote work before we moved.
Several months after moving, we found out that I was expecting, and while I was frightened, it was worth it. On December 16, Daniel Asher Baldwin was born, and we have loved him so much.
A few months after Daniel was born, we started getting more involved with our church even if we had been going for quite some time. Our church small group has been a wonderful support group as we grow together with the Lord. Daniel is also the group’s mascot, and everyone loves him so much.
Daniel enjoys playing with his toys, laughing and “talking”, singing and playing with his music toys, trying to sit up, doing tummy time, dancing, reading books and watching movies with mom and dad, and believe it or not, he loves blondes. Yes, you read that right! Daniel loves blondes.
He is also a very social baby. He loves going to the nursery for Sunday school and loves visitors. For some time, we actually had him in daycare, and his caretakers are Filipina. Daniel is half Filipino (on my side), and they took care of him so well, and we miss them so much. We did pull him out after a while due to financial issues, but I love spending time with him at home now.
A lot has happened with my family since Daniel was born, both positive and negative, but we have continued to trust in the Lord no matter what comes our way. It is not easy, but it has allowed us to grow closer together.
I am so grateful to have a husband who supports whatever I do, whether it is growing my career or taking some time off work to watch Daniel grow. He has been a blessing in my life, and I would not know what to do without him.
Even with Daniel, I could not imagine my life without him. Alec and I have learned so much about love just with almost five months with him.
I look forward to sharing more about my family through my blog. Expect a lot of photos and videos!
