VIDEO: We’re Moving to Georgia, A Conservative Paradise

Our family is moving to Georgia, and it's not just because we have family there. We're excited about the sweet tea, Georgia peaches, and southern hospitality. After living in DC and Las Vegas, it is time for a change. In fact, I always dreamed of living in the south and being a “southern girl.” Before Alec, I just had a thing for southern gentleman. Okay, Alec is one of those southern gentleman.

But we're also drawn to Georgia's strong economy, low cost of living, and commitment to education choice!

Alec and I did our engagement photos and got married in Georgia!

Georgia is the #1 state in the country for business, and low gas and house prices. It also offers a variety of education choice opportunities, including nontraditional education options.

The state makes it easy for nontraditional education opportunities to startup. I mean if Georgia ranks #1 in business, there should be more freedom in education. Hopefully, soon Georgia will pass those flexible education funds to let families decide how education works for them.

Gov. Brian Kemp (R) has also signed a number of conservative policies into law, including a major tax income return bill, pro-life legislation, parental rights laws, and strict voter ID laws. These policies make Georgia one of the most conservative states in the country.

Of course, Georgia isn't perfect. Its occupational licensing laws are still some of the worst in the nation, and its education system ranks in the middle. But overall, Georgia is a great state to live in, and we're excited to start our new adventure there next week.

Thank you to conservative and pro-free market policies, and the leadership of Kemp and the state legislature, life is quite affordable and family-friendly in Georgia.

So excited to be back on the East coast!
